Through your support and that of other Kenyans, we are currently providing lunch/ one meal to 6,336 pupils (3,226 boys & 3,110 Girls) in 12 primary schools in Bamba, Kilifi County where we started a school feeding programme. Funds raised are being used to purchase Maize, Beans, and Cooking Oil and to involve community members in the preparation of meals.

The Long Rains Assessment report (August 2022) showed that Kilifi exhibited a higher percentage of children at risk of malnutrition compared to the long-term average. The delayed onset and poor distribution in time and space of the long rains resulted in food insecurity in most parts of Ganze and more so in Bamba Ward.

It is because of your sacrifice and giving that this feeding programme is running and it will be vital in increasing enrolment and retention, as parents are motivated to send their children to school.
