There is a special kind of magic that happens when a community comes together to lift its children. On January 16th, 2026, the dusty roads of Mrima wa Ndege in Vitengeni were filled not just with heat, but with an overwhelming sense of hope.
Through our Christmas Drive with Jambojet, we set out with a goal to change lives, and thanks to your incredible kindness, we raised 1,782,202 KES. Adding to this beautiful wave of support, Kings Collection stepped in with a generous gift-in-kind worth 500,000 KES, ensuring that the children of Vitengeni didn't just go back to school, they went back with dignity.

Walking through the school gates, we saw the tangible impact of your donations. It wasn't just about "items", it was about the smiles on the faces of students who finally felt seen.
We distributed essential stationery to 675 students, ensuring every child had the pens and books needed to succeed. 50 students stepped into the new term wearing brand-new Bata shoes. 50 students received their new uniforms. We handed over 150 school bags and 147 dignity kits, providing young girls and boys with the essentials they need to stay in school comfortably. For 20 students, the heavy burden of school fees was lifted entirely, allowing them to focus solely on their futures.

We know that a child cannot learn if they are hungry or cold. This mission reached beyond the classroom and into the hearts of the homes in Vitengeni.
100 households received essential food supplies, including rice, sugar, flour, and oil, to help them through these tough times. 150 people received warm jackets, official shirts, blankets, and bedsheets. Perhaps most crucially, we installed a 10,000-litre water tank, a literal lifesaver for the 675 learners at the school.

As we stood on the grounds of Mrima wa Ndege, the reality of the climate was impossible to ignore. The area is currently enduring a severe dry spell with almost no rainfall. Water is scarce, and for many families, the daily struggle to find a clean drop to drink overshadows everything else.
While the new water tank is a massive step forward, it needs to be filled. While 20 children have their fees paid, hundreds more are at risk of being sent home. The "Back to School" journey isn't a one-day event, it is a season of survival.
To Jambojet, thank you for being the wings that carried this campaign. To Kings Collection, your 500k in-kind contribution provided the extra boost we needed to reach so many. And to every single person who donated, you are the reason these children are smiling today.

How You Can Keep the Hope Alive
The rains may have failed, but our compassion doesn't have to. We are still seeking support for tuition fees and emergency water trucking to keep that 10,000-litre tank full.
Will you help us keep them in school?
